Greetings! I'm looking forward to working with you all this year and would like to start off with a quote that will lend to much of your success in this class as well as your other classes. -Mr. Reyes
"Be in class everyday, on time, and most of all be a nice person".

Citizenship grades are based using the descriptors listed in the citizenship rubric above. There will be certain situations that arise that are not listed on the rubric which may positively or negatively affect your citizenship grade as well. In reference to the above citizenship rubric, the actions that you demonstrate that most closely relate to the descriptors in any column of the citizenship rubric, will most likely earn you the citizenship grade listed in that column. In the beginning weeks of school, you along with your parents or guardians will hopefully realize that the citizenship grade in HPWB far outweigh the HPWB scholarship grade for a few specific reasons. While the scholarship grade is very important, I respectfully call on each of you to reflect often on ways that you may demonstrate social responsibility in class daily which is in itself a larger part of citizenship. Almost daily, you will participate in group activities with your peers online that require positivity, encouragement, cooperation and interaction with ALL of your classmates. Furthermore, by demonstrating these actions to your classmates as well as to all adults on campus is always appreciated and is by far a reflection of the ROYAL way! -Mr. Reyes

What is Human Performance and Well-Being?
Human Performance and Well-Being is a combination of physical education and health.
The California State Standards for both physical education and health are delivered through our blended class format titled, “Human Performance and Well-Being” (HPWB). It is our goal to develop an understanding in our students' minds that physical education and health are truly “One in the same”.
Visit the following areas below often. The information will help you keep up to date with your HPWB class.

COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING ASSIGNMENT:
*Submit the following homework to JUPITERGRADES or turn in via hardcopy. Submitting your assignments to JUPITER is always preferred so that we have an electronic copy of your work. Encouraging the use of this technology with our students to submit their school work supports a large part of our educational model and intent.
Homework
1) Establish an email for use with our HPWB class: If possible share an email with your parents so that parents can stay informed of class events and communication. Please have parent permission to use your own email account for our HPWB class. Also, students are assigned a district email ([email protected]) that will sync with Google drive and will adequately save and store your school work.
2) Jupiter Messages and class email: [email protected]. Jupiter messaging gets the fastest response when communicating with your teachers. The class email may also be used for teacher student/parent communication.
